Well, that's... not me, exactly.  That's what happens when I upload a real photo of me and tell the computer to turn me into one of my characters.  It gets some of the details right, but I'm not that pretty!

At any rate, hello, and thank you SO much for your interest in my books.  I am a mom and educator with a degree in history (hence The Ouroboros Files) and a passion for literature.  Despite being a mom, I somehow manage to read copious amounts of books and I have so many more in my head.  Courmant is a new obsession of mine, and I am working on bringing some of my earlier works into its happy realm.

My greatest writing inspiration is Isaac Asimov, which is a funny choice for a girl who writes mostly fantasy.  But his books are always very concerned about what makes us human, what morality really means, how people should behave or do behave—and those same themes are the heartsong of my books.  And science fiction is in many ways my first love.  I wrote my first "novel", Mission to Mars, when I was 5.  Perhaps one day I will attempt science fiction for adults, but all these fantasy stories keep insisting on going first.  The muse is untamable.
